Mindfulness is an 'awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non judgementally.'
VITAL will be running a 4 week programme for small groups to teach mindfulness through guided meditation.
Studies show that mindfulness can help with stress, anxiety and depression. By focusing on the present moment mindfulness can counteract rumination & worry. Through awareness of one's physical & mental state in the moment, mindfulness allows for more adaptive reactions to difficult situations.
